Happy 4th of July everybody! Now it is time to go take out our glow-sticks, bring out flashlights, and go to watch the fireworks fly. Now some people wonder why is the 4th of July so important. And no it is not a day we just picked to chuck some fire-works i the air and have fun, no no. It is to celebrate independence day. What happened many years ago on this very day? We, of the United States of America won our independence as a country. Boy was it a happy day! Everybody across the land was jumping up the walls for the day of independence had come. Fireworks are the most memorable part of fourth of july for most people. They love to see those colors and the sparkles that trail. I know what i find most memorable about the fourth of july was sitting with my family on a large cove and watching a large boat from the ocean shoot the fireworks into the sky. Now the fourth of July is special to me for two reasons. The first reason of course is because of the fireworks. Secondly the fourth of july is my dad’s birthday. He was not born in the United States so when he grew  up his birthday was not considered a holiday where he lived. When he got to the United States it was probably a nice thing to know that his birthday is on a holiday. So in the morning on the 4th of July i don’t say “yay its the fourth of July” i say “happy birthday dad”. I find several memorable moments on this day. This year for the fourth of July i am going to a pool with my friends and then later we are going to watch the fireworks. People celebrate the fourth of July in many ways. Some celebrate it with going out to dinner with their family. Some watch the fireworks with their families and some just enjoy the good spirit of the day. We will all remember this day as one of the most magnificent days in our history. I have good memories of the fourth of July, sitting on a blanket with my family. watching the sun set in the distance and then finally the fireworks explode and i know this coming year will be a great one.

What is your favorite memory of the fourth of July? Please tell me I am delighted to here your fourth of july memories.

Thank you for reading on this great day!

Ilan, a wonderful post, as you usually dish out every few days. :)
Happy birthday dad!

I like how you always have fun-to-read posts that are interesting yet factual. Your system rocks. People that read have so much fun reading that they don’t realize they’re actually learning, such as in this case, history! Very very genius.

The whole time I read this post I’m all –

Wonderful wonderful post. :D

Yet another great post Ilan..
The best Fireworks I’ve ever seen was in Hanover, Germany. It lasted about two hours. Incredibly rich art forms were created in the dark sky. They were accompanied by great music played by several marching bands scattered around these very large beautiful gardens lit by torches. I did forget what the celebration was all about, nor did I care much..(: but I do remember the fireworks extravaganza.
Happy Birthday to DAD.
